Sign Source is heavily involved with sport, particularly tennis. Deaf Olympic champion, Anthony Sinclair grew up profoundly deaf, playing to national level in a mainstream environment. Coaching people who are deaf or hard of hearing requires skill in teaching strategies alongside basic BSL – knowing this can take deaf players to the next level.
This resource can be shared with staff, coaches, peers to raise awareness and learn the basic Sign Language required to connect and communicate with deaf people.
